I am sick and tired of hearing the mantra of the media and the statists shaking their finger about how Ron Paul can’t win. He doesn’t have enough support, his supporters are just kids who want to do drugs, or they’re just pinkos from the left trying to take over the GOP.
None of these things are true. They are lies meant to preserve the status quo. But they are failing. Miserably. Ron Paul keeps raising an astonishing amount of money (it may not measure up with the other candidates, but it is enough to get his ideas heard, and when people hear the freedom message, those without some form of mental retardation or emotional neurosis respond with enthusiasm).
What is most promising about Ron Paul’s campaign is that he has an army of supporters on the ground who are taking his message to the street. Check out this graph of members of Ron Paul meetup groups and the meetup groups of other candidates. This graph is from the website www.RonCan.com which is an excellent resource for lots of news about the Ron Paul campaign.
I don’t understand why Barack Obama has over 5,000 meetup members. He must have discovered a neurotransmitter that simultaneously shuts down the frontal lobes and excites the amygdala. Or maybe they all suffer from fetal alcohol syndrome. The latter seems more likely.
I am about to send out my final batch of Mail Iowa letters for the Ron Paul for President Campaign. There is still time to get involved with the call Iowa campaign. I predict that we will make an excellent showing in the Iowa Straw Poll, and that after our amazing showing, we will be attacked from all sides with vicious lies and fallacious arguments. Hit pieces will hit the front page of every paper in the country. First they ignore you, then they attack you, then you win. We’ll be soundly in step two of the revolution very soon.
Why are people in the United States so obsessed with IDs? About a month ago I arrived on a flight from Belize to Houston. I was not at all happy to be away from my good friends, the good weather and the carefree way of life that I enjoy in Belize, and I needed a drink.
I’ll admit it was quite refreshing to enjoy a Heineken instead of the Belikin that I had been drinking for the past month. It was not refreshing to be asked to present my identification. I am supposed to be consoled by the fact world would fall apart if some 20 year old were to get his hands on a Heineken. I’m glad I could do my part to keep my country…what…safe? That should be our new motto: “USA, Land of the SAFE!”
We call ourselves the land of the free–but what the hell is that supposed to mean? That we have to show our ID every time we want to do something that some fundamentalist in Kansas doesn’t approve of? Come on! Freedom means not being told what the **** to do as long as it doesn’t hurt anyone else. Is that too complicated?
Has government education severed the synapses in the frontal lobes of enough Americans such that they are no longer able to consider what it means to be a free human being? I don’t know of anyone who would say that freedom is a bad thing–but in the same breath they’ll tell you 100 different ways that they want to take it away from you.
Next time someone starts to talk about freedom, ask them what they mean by it. Chances are, they haven’t got a clue. They’d rather buy into some politicians rhetoric about how a new law is going to save the world than stop for a moment and think. THINK. Most people can’t do this, and those of us who can are left trying to salvage what we can of the freedoms upon which our nation was founded.
We can still change the world, but we have a lot of really dumb people out there, and we have to open their minds. It is a really daunting task.
The timing is perfect for this. We (the 23,000+ volunteer supporters of Ron Paul) are making a huge push for the Iowa Straw Poll, which is very important for us to show that we are a viable force that can mobilize voters. With Ron Paul as the featured candidate on YouTube in the days leading up to the straw poll, we can expect to gain some more supporters and attention. This is very exciting!
Here is Ron Paul’s newest YouTube video:
If you are from Iowa, vote in the Straw Poll. Go to www.RonPaul2008.com and click on the Iowa icon at the top of the page. Not from Iowa? Call Iowa voters! I’ve been calling voters from Iowa and I’ve gotten a great response. There are some morons out there who don’t understand what it means to live in a free country, but a lot of voters in Iowa are getting really excited about Ron Paul.
This was the first pistol I ever purchased, even before I had my concealed carry license. It was a Glock 26, 9MM. I really like it, and once I permanently move back to the United States, I intend to buy another one. Glocks really are my favorite guns, and the 26 is absolutley perfect for concealed carry. I carried it around (once I got my license) in a blackhawk holster. There really is no better way. Check this video out:
The fifty yards part of the video is wrong. It was fifty feet. And yes, it was doctored. I am not that good of a shot. It seems to have fooled the people who watched it on youtube, though, so that makes me happy. There were a couple of jackasses who said nasty things about me in the comments. They can go to hell.
This is a really fascinating story. Essentially, there was a brain injured patient who had been in a minimally conscious state for the past six years. The man was the unfortunate victim of an assault which led to severe brain damage.
Essentially, doctors put a wire deep into his brain and sent electrical impulses into his brain on and off for around six months. The result: he can speak a little bit (he was even able to recite half of the pledge of allegiance).
This offers a great deal of promise to many other patients also suffering from serious brain injuries. Unfortunately, this patient will not be recovering fully, but, as his mother said,
Now, my son can eat, express himself and let us know if he is in pain. He enjoys a qualify of life we never thought possible
Modern medicine is pretty cool. Wanna see how a deep brain stimulator works? Check out this video!
So, go and read these articles. They’re pretty cool. I’m going to do some more reading about deep brain stimulation, and try to write a little more about it on this blog.
