At the end of episode eight, Miguel Prado goes to Ellen Wolfe’s house. He knocks on the door, she answers, and he steps in. The viewer isn’t sure whether he forces his way in or whether this is usual. We wonder: is he there to kill her, or just to fuck her?
My money is on kill her. Here is why:
Prado’s wife Silvia tells Rita in an earlier episode that Miguel has been distant and staying away late since his brother was killed. If Prado were having an affair with Wolfe, it would likely have been going on for some time; not just since his brother was murdered. In fact, that would seem like a very unlikely time to start an affair.
We also know Prado wants her dead; in an earlier episode he asks Dexter to kill her. Moreover, we now know that Prado enjoys killing. Everything is set up perfectly for him to go and off Ms. Wolfe.
Spoiler TV has two clips from the next episode. These clips lead me to conclude that it is likely that Wolfe has gone missing and that it is likely that Prado killed Wolfe. Of course, we can’t be sure from these clips, and I’d actually be pretty disappointed with the Dexter production team if these clips weren’t misleading.
I have reservations about this, though: it is unlikely that Dexter would continue to work with Prado if he were to know that Prado killed Wolfe, and we know that Dexter does continue to work with Prado. If Prado did kill Wolfe, there is only one way for this season to end: Dexter must kill Prado. I am not so sure that this is the way the writers want this season to end; it is simply too cliche (I don’t know how to type an accent into wordpress and I’m lazy. Deal with it.)
I’d say that there is a 75% chance that Prado kills Wolfe, and a 25% chance that he is fucking her. The latter would be far better for the plot of the show, but the former just seems much more likely. If only someone would put episode nine online before it airs next week….

There are two television programs I watch: Dexter and House. I am completely torn between which one I like better, because they both appeal to different parts of my intellect. In any case, I have a theory about the ongoing mystery of season three.
“The Skinner” cannot possibly be Miguel Prado! There is just no way.
Why? Because it would be lame. We have been given far too many COMPLETELY OBVIOUS clues that it is Miguel for it to actually be him…unless showtime thinks that their audience is completely retarded.
Here are some of the clues:
- Miguel’s father was an abusive drunk (i.e. we are supposed to believe that this could lead to Miguel’s development into a sociopath).
- Miguel is always telling Dexter how he is “just like him.”
- Miguel’s wife complains that he is always away somewhere.
- Miguel seeks out Dexter in a manner similar to the way the Ice Truck Killer did in season one.
- Miguel is seen gutting a fish with excellent skill.
- Miguel is very happy to play killing games with Dexter.
It is just too obvious. In addition, there are some serious holes in that theory:
- An abusive father does not a psychopath make. Dexter was turned into a psychopath because he saw his mother cut up with a chainsaw when he was just a child. Migeul’s father got drunk and slapped him around. Huge difference.
- Miguel’s defense attorney nemesis is still around and still causing him problems. She would have been long dead if Migeul were to be doing his own solo work.
- The Skinner climbs trees to survey his victims. Miguel isn’t a tree-climbing kind of guy.
I am well aware that Miguel will start joining Dexter in his kills in the next couple of episodes. I suspect that it will become obvious that he is new to this art.
So, who is this Skinner fellow? I really only see two options:
- Quinn, the new detective. We don’t know much about him, and he seems like a very good guy, although internal affairs is after him. He would certainly have the inside information to do the job.
- Someone we have yet to meet. This is bolstered by the fact that we see someone spying on Deb through binoculars when she meets with the kid who gets killed. Quinn would not need to do this in order to find the kid.

Here is a brief synopsis of how I voted:
Bob Barr/Wayne Allen Root
Yes on Physician Assisted Suicide
Yes on Eyman’s Initiation
No on the stupid bullshit about raising the cost of long term care for elderly folks.
None of the above.
None of the above.
etc etc etc.
Plus, I voted for two county commissioners who have been really great at keeping the county government from fucking with us.
Just fyi: I am totally paralytic tonight. What better way to watch the USA fall deeper into a hell hole????
Today I was assailed more than any other day in my life. The gas station attendant told me to vote for Obama. Random people from the side of the road yelled at me to vote for Obama. Insanity, I tell you.
For the record: Obama and McCain are two pieces of shit from the same toilet. Obama is going to win, and he’s going to take away in more of our freedoms, and screw more things up, and that is just the way it is going to be. Meanwhile, I will continue my education, become successful, and insulate myself as much as possible from the damage that he and his predecessors do. I will never participate in his socialist programs.
For the record: this is the only time I have posted to this blog while drunk and I don’t intend to do so in the future. My mother reads this blog, and while I curse a lot while talking to her, she dislikes it when I use profanity in public. So, for those of you who get off on profanity: enjoy this post.
