Ron Paul just finished his speech–one of the best political speeches that I have ever seen.  He has inspired and ignited the freedom movement in way so few ever thought possible.

The biggest lesson I took from this:  we are in the midst of an ideological battle.  No army, government or political party is capable of blocking our ideas.  We will prevail, because our ideas are consistent with reason.

Whenever our ideas come head to head with the ideas of tyranny and statism, we win.  They have nothing on us.  We have reason and truth, they have empty rhetoric and lies.  I am very inspired today, and very hopeful for the future prospects of this movement.  It is a movement to which I am thoroughly committed, and for which I will fight tirelessly for the rest of my life.

We live in exciting times.  I am very grateful to Dr. Paul for putting so much passion into  this movement.  Freedom is on the horizon for America.  Yes, things will get worse before they get better…but they will get better.

Thank you, Dr. Paul.  You have assumed your place among the most important American heroes ever.

After 25 dreadful hours of flying, I’m back in Antigua, enjoying the warm weather and STUDYING!!!!!!

I was quite disappointed with the New Hampshire results for Ron Paul. This doesn’t mean we stop fighting. As long as I live, I’ll never stop fighting for human liberty. This campaign will go on, and so will the freedom movement. The freedom movement is stronger now than ever, and it will only get stronger.

Those who know me know that I am no fan of conspiracy theories, and that I especially don’t like the “vote in sunshine” people who are using the Ron Paul campaign as a foil to push their own issue. The issue is a worthy one, but they are actually costing us votes. After the Iowa Straw Poll, they arrived at an insane conclusion that we had won and that our votes just hadn’t been counted. They based this on an “exit poll” which polled mainly Ron Paul supporters. Somebody didn’t take a statistics class in college!

I don’t like these conspiracy theories because they aren’t backed up with real evidence. I have received several dozen emails about voter fraud in New Hampshire. At first I ignored them, and then one caught my attention: a discrepancy between the hand counted ballot’s results and the machine counted results. To be fair, it could just be that there is a large difference in demographic between the hand counted counties and the machine counted counties, though it seems quite unlikely since 20% of the votes were counted by hand (this is a statistically significant percentage).

Before people jump on this and scream voter fraud: THIS IS NOT PROOF. This is a possibility. The best way to lose an argument is to overstate it.  If you want to advance your cause, speak reasonably, and back up everything you say with evidence.

That being said, here is the evidence:

For the socialists:

Hillary Clinton, Diebold Accuvote optical scan: 40.121%
Clinton, Hand Counted Paper Ballots: 34.703%

Barack Obama, Diebold Accuvote optical scan: 35.756%
Obama, Hand Counted Paper Ballots: 38.785%

For the Republicans:

Mitt Romney, Diebold Accuvote optical scan: 33.044%
Romney, Hand Counted Paper Ballots: 25.536%

Ron Paul, Diebold Accuvote optical scan: 7.233%
Paul, Hand Counted Paper Ballots: 9.235%

This data is from:  www.legitgov.org

I believe that this data is evidence enough to call for a complete recount of by hand.  It is NOT enough evidence to accuse anyone of fraud.  So don’t accuse anyone of fraud.  Be responsible.  Reason and evidence can be your friends–if you don’t ignore them.

Are you ready for the Boston Tea Party?  By ready, I mean:  have you put aside the $100 that you’ll be donating to Ron Paul on that day?

Watch this video.  It is quite inspirational:

On 6 September 2007 the Federal Reserve decided to use its unconstitutional power to both tax us and further pull back the spring on our coming economic crash!

What do I mean by “pull back the spring”?

Over extension of credit causes major problems, because banks loan out money to people who are very likely to default on their loans.  When they default, serious problems ensue.  When lots of people start defaulting, losing homes, closing businesses et cetera, the problem compounds itself.

The recent housing bubble is an example of this.  Prices went through the roof and everyone who could pick up a phone and call a loan officer was able to buy a house; a far more expensive house than they could afford.  Now, they’re losing them and credit is drying up.  This leads to a recession.  But what if you print more money and lend that money out at the same terms?  The problem gets worse!  If the initial over expansion of credit stretched the spring a little bit, the subsequent expansion of credit pulls the spring back more and more.  Eventually, you have to let go.  The farther back you’ve pulled the spring, the more violent the retraction becomes.  Brace yourselves, because it’s going to get nasty.

The Fed decided yesterday to “inject” 31.25 billion dollars of “liquidity” into the markets.  In layman’s terms, that means they decided to print some money and lend it to their buddies who could in turn lend out MUCH more of it.  This is great for their buddies.  When they get this 31.25 billion, they get to in turn lend out almost 10 times this amount of money!  If you’re the first person to get your hands on newly printed unbacked money, you can call yourself one lucky bastard!  That money is just as useful as the money that already existed.  Once you spend it, though, everyone’s money goes down in value.  This is called inflation, and it happens when governments print money out of thin air.

Make no mistake:  what the Fed did was to just tax us.  We didn’t get to vote on it.  Our representatives didn’t get to vote on it.  We just lost money.  Each and every one of us.

inflation-70s.gifWho made money?  Bankers.  They made lots of money.

This is disgusting.  It is the most regressive tax out there, it is a silent tax that most people don’t even realize that they’re paying and it doesn’t even pay for any government services (unless you count the credit that becomes available, which means that our government accumulates more and more debt).

This has got to end or the great depression is going to look like a cake walk in comparison to whats coming.

Those of us who understand this are going to get very rich, because we are buying up gold left and right.  Average, working people are going to suffer; they are going to suffer seriously.

This is the reality of the government that we have today.  Politicians and their friends are getting rich at our expense.

There is only one man who can save this country, and his name is Ron Paul.  He will work to give us sound money again.

Yes, the TSA is made up of a bunch of fools.  They are, in large part, dim witted bureaucrats with seriously inflated notions of their importance.

I usually get frustrated with them, because I recognize their stupid pranks as such.

Today’s adventures with the jolly minimum-wage bureaucrats:

At the Sea-Tac International Airport, I arrived on a flight from Spokane on Alaska Airlines with a connection on Continental.  This shouldn’t be a problem.  My flight was late.  To make matters worse, I stumbled out of the secured area while looking for my next gate.

There was a huge line at the security checkpoint.  I have no clue why there was such a line:  it was 10:00 PM!

So, I politely asked a stout, red-nosed bureaucrat if he would be so kind as to let me skip to the front of the line since my flight was boarding.  His response:  “We will get you through as soon as we can, Sir.”  He walked away.  That’s what I call excellent customer service.

I did make my flight, but just barely.

In the past, I have persuaded TSA agents to let me cut in line when my flight was about to leave.  Other times, they just don’t give a damn.  It just depends upon the day.

It would make so much more sense to allow airlines to set their own security standards and employ their own screeners.   If the TSA screws up, they will just use it as justification to get congress to increase their budget.  If an individual airline screws up, it could put them out of business.  I wonder who is likely to do a better job!   I would also imagine that Continental Airlines would have let me cut in line so that I would be sure to not miss my flight.  In fact, I’m pretty sure that they’d make sure that their security procedures were a quick and convenient as possible so that people don’t miss flights because of them.

The TSA never should have been created.  It should be abolished.   Dr. Ron Paul will do this, so support him.  Now.

Yes, ladies and gentleman, thanks to the hard work and dedication of the members of the Spokane Ron Paul meetup, we are in first place in the fund raising competition!   Thank you all for coming to my fund raiser, you did a wonderful thing.  We still have seven days to go in the competition, and we will need to continue our hard work in order to maintain first place, but I am quite confident that we can do it!

We have really upset some people in the establishment!  Illinois State Senator Dan Rutherford ripped a sign from the hands of a Ron Paul supporter and handed it to one of his thuggish supporters who decided to stand on it with a nasty look on his face.   Rutherford is also the Illinois Chairman for Mitt Romney’s campaign.  I know first hand how nasty those Romney people are.  They treated me very badly in Iowa, and I was as nice as I could be to them.  Civil discourse must not be one of Mitt Romney’s strong points.  Wow, he’d make one heck of a president, wouldn’t he!

As the following graph so eloquently demonstrates, pirates quickly and effectively deplete greenhouse gases, thus leading to a lower overall global temperature:

piratesarecool4.gif

The Solution is Simple

Recruit Al Gore and his friends to form a Pirate’s Union in order to increase the number of pirates.  Wait.  No.  That would destroy piracy on the high seas.

Just give IRS agents boats.

The more IRS agents who have boats, the lower the global temperature will get.  After about five years, our country will need Ron Paul in order to prevent a new ice age (we’ve heard about a coming ice age before, haven’t we?)

But wait, pirates kill people!

When was the last time socialist environmentalist have cared whether their policies kill people?  Hmmm….

No new coal fired electricity plants in Africa….hundreds of thousands of children die each year of respiratory diseases caused by smoke from indoor cooking fires.  But what’s a few hundred thousand kids mean when we can save the polar bears?

This was originally sent out to the Spokane Ron Paul Meetup Group Email List. If you are not in Spokane, donate to the campaign, even if there isn’t a fund raiser in your area. This is very, very important!

Dear Fellow Patriots,

I would like to thank everyone who has already RSVP’d via meetup for the Ron Paul Birthday Fund Raiser. This fund raiser is going to be a great success. I will be spending most of the rest of the week getting everything set up. Tomorrow I will send out another email detailing some of the things with which I will need help. In the meantime, I’d like to give you a little update on what I’ve got prepared so far.

Here is the menu:

Hot Dogs and Hamburgers (veggie dogs and veggie burgers as well)
Corn on the Cob
Watermelon
Cake and Ice Cream

The bar:
Coke, Diet Coke, Sprite
Punch
Rum Punch
A Keg of Beer
Red Wine

We will have a combination of live and recorded music.

If you haven’t been to a Ron Paul event yet, I can assure you that Ron Paul supporters are some of the most amazing people in the world. Never before have I met such friendly and enthusiastic individuals from so many different walks of life.

We are going to have a great time, and raise a lot of money for the Ron Paul for President Campaign.

As many of your know, there is a contest going on between all of the meetup groups around the country for Ron Paul. The group that raises the most money total, and the group that raises the most money per member will earn a personal visit from Dr. Paul! We need to give all of the other meetup groups a serious run for their money. This campaign is incredibly important. We live in a defining time for America. Will the great American experiment succeed? Benjamin Franklyn, after the constitutional convention, said that they had given us, “A constitution, if you can keep it”. Can we keep it? I think we can.

Together, we can save our constitution and the precious freedom that our founders gave us.

If you haven’t already RSVP’d, please go to the meetup site and do so, or just send me an email. Also, please bring your friends. I will see to it that everyone who brings at least five people gets some sort of a prize and recognition. So, please, invite members of your family, invite your friends, and invite anyone who you know who cares about freedom and the constitution. Just email me or go to the meetup site to indicate how many people you will be bringing.

I look forward to seeing all of you on Monday for this exciting celebration! Together, we can save our constitution and make America free once again.

Sincerely,

Kyle Varner

PS: If you can’t make it to the fund raiser, please donate to the campaign anyway. Your donation can still be counted towards the total amount we’ve raised. If you are donating online, be sure to enter MU0149 in the project code box on the donation page so that your donation counts in the meetup group contest. Also please email me and tell me so that I can count your contribution towards the total amount that our event has raised. Spokane is ready to hear Ron Paul’s inspirational message of freedom. Let’s bring him here!
